1. Data Controller

2. Data We Collect

The desktop apps are free and need no account, so they collect nothing about you. We hold no user accounts and no licence records.

The only request either app makes on its own is an update check against api.lumentrace.app, which asks for the latest published version number and sends nothing about you or your machine. It can be turned off in the app’s configuration file.

If you email us, we hold your message and address for as long as it takes to answer you.

3. Analytics & What We Do Not Collect

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, privacy-first services that collect only aggregate, anonymized data (page views, referrers, and Core Web Vitals performance metrics). They set no cookies, collect no personal data, and cannot identify individual visitors. No raw event data is stored or sold.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party tracking scripts. There is no cookie banner on this site because we do not set non-essential cookies.

4. Legal Basis (GDPR)

  • Aggregate, anonymized site analytics: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Email correspondence you start: our legitimate interest in replying (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

5. Data Retention

We store no user accounts, licences, or device identifiers. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to answer it. To request deletion, email hello@lumentrace.app.

6. Third Parties

We work with the following data processors:

  • Vercel — used as our hosting provider and for cookieless aggregate analytics (Vercel Web Analytics). Vercel processes anonymized page-view data as a data processor. No personal data is shared with advertising networks. See Vercel Privacy Policy.
  • Cloudflare — used as a CDN and for hosting binary downloads via Cloudflare R2. Cloudflare acts as a data processor under a standard DPA. No data is used for advertising.

7. Your Rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, and port your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@lumentrace.app. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
