Installing Lumentrace Client

Download Lumentrace Client from lumentrace.app/download.

It is a separate download from the main Lumentrace app.

macOS

Open the .dmg.
Drag Lumentrace Client to Applications.
First launch: the icon will bounce for up to 30–60 seconds while macOS scans the app — do not force-quit, let it finish. Once the scan completes, unblock it: right-click → Open (macOS 14 and earlier) or System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway (macOS 15 / 26). If it still won't open, run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Lumentrace Client.app" in Terminal. See Installation for full details.
Allow Local Network access when prompted.

Run the Lumentrace Client installer. If SmartScreen appears, click More info → Run anyway (the installer is unsigned).
Allow network access when prompted by Windows Firewall.

Lumentrace Client needs no account and no activation. Launch it and connect to a Lumentrace server.
