Release Notes
v1.0.0 — 2026
Lumentrace 1.0 is the initial public release.
Lumentrace turns any moving light into an automated followspot. A camera feed is placed on a canvas, calibrated to the stage once, and Lumentrace drives pan, tilt, intensity, and beam size over Art-Net or sACN in real time.
Tracking
- Real-time performer tracking from any camera source: local USB/capture card, NDI, RTSP, SRT.
- Multiple trackers per project, each independently assignable to fixtures.
- Rise Mode for vertical compensation (stairs, platforms) via scroll wheel.
- Free Move for manual override without losing calibration.
- Intensity Masks: define regions of the canvas where intensity is automatically reduced.
Calibration
- Calibration mesh maps camera coordinates to DMX pan and tilt values.
- Minimum 3 mesh points; accuracy improves with more points.
- Beam Size Compensation calibration per mesh point (Iris, Zoom, Zoom + Focus).
- Pan and tilt offsets for fine correction without full recalibration.
DMX output
- Art-Net and sACN output on configurable universes.
- Direct Output and Merge modes with per-attribute control.
- Show Mode toggle for clean HTP merge alongside a console.
- sACN priority failsafe topology for automatic console fallback.
- Crossfade time for smooth release fades.
Fixture management
- GDTF import and custom fixture builder.
- Five preloaded factory profiles (Ayrton, Clay Paky, Prolights, Robe Lighting).
- Multi-fixture patch with address conflict detection.
Remote operation
- Lumentrace Client: free remote operator app for macOS and Windows.
- Up to 64 simultaneous clients over local network.
- Per-tracker locking — each operator holds their own tracker independently.
- Real-time bidirectional tracker sync between server and all clients.
External control
- MIDI CC and Note mapping for presets, fixture attributes, and pan/tilt offsets.
- DMX input mapping on a dedicated control universe.
