DMX Output

Lumentrace outputs DMX over the network using Art-Net or sACN.

Configuring output universes

Open Setup → Open Settings... (Ctrl+,) and navigate to Network.

First, select the network interface (NIC) from the dropdown at the top of the Network page.

In the DMX Universes table, click + Add to create an output universe. Each row configures one universe:

EnableToggle to enable or disable this universe
DirectionOut (DMX output) or In (DMX input). In is only available when Show Mode is set to Merge.
ProtocolArt-Net or sACN
ModeBroadcast or Unicast (Art-Net) / Multicast or Unicast (sACN)
Local UniInternal universe number (matches the patch)
Proto UniUniverse number sent on the wire. For Art-Net, 0 = first universe. For sACN, valid range is 1–63999.
AmountNumber of consecutive universes
PrioritysACN priority (default 100)
DestinationUnicast IP address (when Mode = Unicast)

Enable each universe individually with the toggle in the Enable column.
