DMX Output
Lumentrace outputs DMX over the network using Art-Net or sACN.
Configuring output universes
Open Setup → Open Settings... (Ctrl+,) and navigate to Network.
First, select the network interface (NIC) from the dropdown at the top of the Network page.
In the DMX Universes table, click + Add to create an output universe. Each row configures one universe:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Label for this universe |
| Enable | Toggle to enable or disable this universe |
| Direction | Out (DMX output) or In (DMX input). In is only available when Show Mode is set to Merge. |
| Protocol | Art-Net or sACN |
| Mode | Broadcast or Unicast (Art-Net) / Multicast or Unicast (sACN) |
| Local Uni | Internal universe number (matches the patch) |
| Proto Uni | Universe number sent on the wire. For Art-Net, 0 = first universe. For sACN, valid range is 1–63999. |
| Amount | Number of consecutive universes |
| Priority | sACN priority (default 100) |
| Destination | Unicast IP address (when Mode = Unicast) |
Enable each universe individually with the toggle in the Enable column.
